Our Programs

At The Equine Journey, we believe that every person has a unique connection waiting to be discovered with the horse who meets them right where they are. Our lesson program is designed to welcome Littles, Teens, and Adults, from complete beginners to experienced riders looking to deepen their horsemanship.

We offer both private and small group lessons, allowing each rider to learn at a pace and style that supports confidence, safety, and joy.

Our approach goes beyond the saddle.

We teach true horsemanship — how to read a horse’s body language, understand communication, build trust, and develop balance and partnership. Students learn grooming, groundwork, groundwork-to-ride transitions, and riding skills that grow with them.

Whether a student dreams of trail riding, competing, gentle therapy experiences, or simply finding peace in the barn — this is a place to learn, grow, and feel supported.

For Littles We Provide Gentle, Patient Instruction with Emphasis on Safety, Confidence, and Kindness.

We keep things fun, hands-on, and playful — while still teaching real horsemanship.

Our Teen Riders ,Find A Place to Belong.

Teens learn responsibility, leadership, emotional awareness, and riding skills that grow with them. Many find the barn to be their most grounding and encouraging space.

Our Adult Riders Find that it’s Never Too Late to Start — or Return.

Whether you haven’t been on a horse in years or are beginning for the first time, we will help you reconnect, rebuild strength, and find joy in the journey.

Activities: Pony photos with Santa’s Reindeer Horses, Cookie decorating, hot cocoa, ornament and gift making workshop.

Pizza, drinks and sweet treats.
